Maaaaaaaaaaaan

I had some really cute hair styles this past weekend, and I didn't take na' picture. So you will just have to take my word on it. :)

I do have to back track though on the recipe I gave you all from Motowngirl. I realized that was not at all what I was using. I had some Biolage leave in conditioner, vegetable glycerin and EVOO (xtra virgin olive oil) mixed together and that is what was making my hair so fabulously soft. I wish I could give you the exact measurements, but I can't, not so good at that stuff. Eye it and mix it until it feels good on your hair. I just poured them together shook it up in an old spray bottle I had from a prior product. It just dawned on me that's what else was in there, a hair sheen, don't know the name at the moment, will get it for you. I know ya'll are like this girl is craz.

I ordered the ingredients for the exact leave-in conditioner recipe from MG and I used it Saturday early, whooooooa, am I glad I did, I had time re-wash and put my product in before I left the house. I don't know if I didn't follow directions well, which I don't see how that could be the case, it's easy as pie to follow, so anyway, my hair felt awful. I wish I could come up with a proper analogy for it, but it felt stripped of anything good. I used it on my 4 year old also, he has really curly hair and his hair felt as bad as mine. My hair does not like that recipe at all. I feel like I waisted money now also. I had to quickly try and figure out what I had in the cuncoction I had originally been using and make some more.

I know BIOlage is not really recommended, but it worked on my hair. I went back to the Whole Foods Market and bought some shampoo and conditioner. The "no poo" thing was not working for me.I bought Avalon Organics Volumizing Shampoo and Volumizing Conditioner.

It is Rosemary enriched with Wheat Protein Plus VitaminE. I've used it once, my hair had that squeaky clean feel, I don't know if that is good or bad, but after I conditioned it felt so much better.

I put my leave in and twisted it up for the night. I loved the look and texture the next day.

This is when I twisted it out the next day!

I am back to being happy with my hair, except that it actually seems to be thinning out instead of thickening up. I seem to lose a bunch of hair when I wash it. I don't know if I'm not washing enough or wearing ponytails too often? But if someone has some advice please let me know.
