Finally

Okay, so I signed up for this blog site like a month ago I think, and this is my very first post. I know thus far it doesn't really matter to folks so, I guess I am apologizing to myself. I have been through some stuff with my hair and I have nothing documented to see my struggle and or growth through all of this. No time like the present. Life just got in the way.

This is me! Today!

Well that you know I was struggling with a routine but I surely was. I tried the whole "no poo" thing (for better explanation see motowngirl.com) and it did not work for my hair at all. I have been using BIOINFUSION NATURALS,

the ingredients look pretty good to me...

Ingredients
Deionized Water , Rosmarius Officinalis Leaf Extract Rosemary , Mentha Piperita Leaf Extract Peppermint , Cetyl Alcohol , Stearalkonium Chloride , Polyquaternium 11 , Olealkonium Chloride , Peppermint Oil Mentha Piperia , Panthenol , Glycerin , Jojoba Oil Buxus Chinensis , Wheat Amino Acid , Tocopherol , Grapefruit Seed Extract Citrus Grandis , Diazolidinyl Urea , Quaternium 22

... but then I have not done as much research as some people. I have just used the research they have already done. I have really grown to like this conditioner as well as the shampoo for my hair. After I wash I apply MG's leave in conditioner:

MotownGirl.com
Leave-In Conditioner Recipe:

1 cup conditioner
1/8 cup oil, I used olive oil (organic)
1 tablespoon vegetable glycerin
This is all I had been using in it, which is slightly different than MG's, but I ordered her entire kit the other day that includes the Silk Peptide Powder. The other thing is I have not yet added any fragrance oils.
It really leaves my hair so soooooooo soft. Finally.

Once I am out of the shower, I finger part my hair either straight down the middle (which once the hair is dry leaves a visible part) or finger part from one ear to the other, this I found gets rid of the part, the top hair covers the part under it. I take those two sections and wet twist them, put two fabric ponytails holders on the ends and the top and let air dry. Once they have dried I untwist and have the style you see up top, and I absolutely love it.

Check out my friends page also, she really planned and studied before she took the plunge into naturalism, http://african-cheetah.blogspot.com. It's nice to have someone close to you going through the same journey, it makes it a lot less painful.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I am a rambler at times, so KEEP UP! LOL
Well that's it for today. I am a picture freak so when I post there will be lots of pics. Way more than this!

Hey girl, your hair is soooo cute. I love the color and I'm so glad you are settling into a routine & style that you like.
